# What is the maximum amount for FedNow?

The maximum amount for a [FedNow credit transfer](/content/journal/fednow-launch/index.html) is $100,000. Financial institutions can lower or raise their credit transfer limit to $500,000. The Federal Reserve will evaluate the credit transfer limit on an ongoing basis and adjust as appropriate.
